I went to the Frys store on Matlock and I-20 in Arlington, TX. There is a huge sign out front that says "We Match Internet Prices." Then in fine print it says "*See Store for Details." So I go in I find the item that I want and it is marked $19.99.

Now because of the great invention of Smart phones I was able to look on line and find it online for $15.53. I asked and was told, "That is not one of our authorized price match competitors."
So I went to see the manager. I told him "You have a sign that says 'We Match Internet Prices.' Is that correct?"
He said "Yeah, that's right."
I said "Well the guy in the back told me that the internet price was not an authorized price matching competitor.”
To which the manager responded “Well we don’t match all internet prices.”
I said “But your sign doesn’t say that.”
The manager said “But it says see store for details.”
I said, “So what you are telling me is that you match internet prices but not all internet prices?”
“That’s right.”
“So what your sign should really say is ‘We Match Internet Prices, Except When We Don’t Want To.’”
“Well now sir, it isn’t like that.”
“So what is it like?”
“Well, we have really good prices, so we are not going to match a clearance price at a competitor, or something like that.”
“So you match internet prices except when they are lower than yours?”
“Something like that.”

So today I got two emails from Frys in response to this. Both emails said
"Dear valued Fry's Electronics customer,

Thank you for contacting Frys.com.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this situation may cause. We appreciate the time you have taken to let us know about your shopping experience with your local Fry's Electronics store.

To better assist you, we would like to request further information. You will be contacted by the store location by the end of the next business day for further resolution. Please respond to this e-mail and include the following information:

- Your first and last name:
- Daytime phone number:
- The store location you have visited:

Your information will be forwarded to our Home Office Customer Relations department. If you would like assistance sooner, you may reach them at 408-487-4500, Monday through Friday between 9 AM - 5 PM PST. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and look forward to hearing from you soon for further assistance.

My response to both emails
"This standard email response makes me feel that perhaps you did not really read my letter to begin with. I have already spoken with the manager of the store in question. And my original email had the store's location in it, but just for clarification purposes it was the store in Arlington, Texas. I put my first and last name in the original email, but just for you it is Jayson Cooper. Lastly you do not need my phone number; I do not have the time or patience to talk to a representative from your store on the telephone. I am happy to correspond with you via email. I do this because it provides a record and proof of the conversation for all parties involved."
